Katie Dion is a seasoned informal science educator with over a decade of experience working in AZA aquariums and the Texas A&M University System. During her time in the Education Department at the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi, she co-ran a successful Teen Science Café program for four years. Additionally, she analyzed the impacts of the café program on teen leadership members for her master’s thesis research. As a result, she has seen firsthand how these programs positively affect the teens involved.
