Teen Science Cafe Network

By linking teens with STEM experts, we open doors to exploration and discovery. Together, they build knowledge, confidence, and a shared vision of the future.

What is a Teen Science café?

Teen Science Cafés are free, out-of-school programs where teens and STEM experts connect through conversations, interactive presentations, and hands-on activities that explore exciting science topics in depth.

Each Café is unique to its community and led by teens, for teens, with the guidance of an adult leader. No prior STEM experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

The Teen Science Café Network (TSCN) is supported by the National Science Foundation and strengthened by professional evaluation. Our Cafés are rooted in core values: elevating teen voice, empowering teen choice, and fostering 21st-century skills that last a lifetime.

Teen Science Café Locations

Since its establishment in 2008, the TSCN has grown to over 100 programs in rural, urban, and suburban locations across North America and Canada. Today, a multitude of cafés operate nationwide—and continue to grow.
